Happy St Patrick's Day

We are going green...............because today is St Patrick's Day (or as Patrick says "my day".
Robert had a tasting of the greens at school to celebrate (they had green rice krispies treats, green apples and green jelly beans), a lot dressed in green and not too many got pinched (we made some Shamrock pins as well, to save anyone from being pinched, of course)
We took shamrock pins and green jelly beans to help Patrick's school celebrate as well................ the best part of the day was dinner.......we had corned beef & cabbage (which I am proud to say Robert tasted and LIKED it) we also had green lemonade, green beans, Green pears ,green salad and for desert GREEN PUDDING!!!!!

So by the end of the day we were all greened out and after 2 calls to the grandparents it was lights out, but I have a few pictures to share, just cause I had so much fun doing it all...........

The first set is our "Photo shoot" for some reason the boys cannot smile for me without SQUINTING, therefor the picture we ended up with seems like the were not happy to do it but trust me they were giggling the whole time (and I just wanted a picture where y'all could actually see there beautiful eyes)

This picture is a little show of what our dinner and table looked like:

I hope you had a wonderfully GREEN day and didn't get pinched too much

Happy Birthday Patrick!

I was going to say Happy Birthday MonkeyBoy (we affectionately call him that and obviously we are not alone, look at these...................

I guess great minds think alike..............

Today was of course Patrick's Birthday.................4 years old today! Wow seems like just yesterday we were bringing home a tiny little brother for Robert to call his own..............Now well let me just say that he's grown a lot since then (he is almost 1/2 my size) ....No laughing I know that's not a lot but again, he's ONLY 4!

He is a ball of fire, a cutie and a devil all rolled up into one. He can be as cute as can be especially when he is in trouble...............

He had a wonderful Birthday today, he woke up to a house with Birthday signs and balloons and got to open 1 set of birthday presents given by his abuelita & abuelito (for those who might not know that's grandma & grandpa in Spanish).

He love them , they were of course TMNT or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (lately he is really into these), just look at this face:

Than he had cupcakes at school (he had just woken up from his nap when I got there and we not a happy camper, they sang Happy Birthday (for the 5th time today) and he bursted out in tears.............(I remember Robert doing the same at about this age, too much attention, I guess?)
Here's a picture but he is cranky GRRRRRRRR

He had mentioned wanting to have PIZZA for dinner , just like his TNMT , so guess what we had................

Right after we opened presents

and celebrated with Chocolate cake (ahhhhhhhhh life is good)

Well that's all for today , I think he had a good birthday, I will leave you with a tiny slideshow of the rest of our day:

Thank you for all your calls and well wishes on my little boys birthday!
WHEW! Sorry for the rush.........I wanted to make sure I finished this post before the end of the day, and I still have a few minutes to spare!

** Patrick mommy, daddy and Robert love you vey very much !and we hope you had a wonderful day!
PS Robert did the sutest thing and I almost forgot to mention it....after I put Patrick to bed, giving him hugs and kisses, Robert came in and hugged and kissed his brother and said hope you had a good day Birthday boy! SOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!

Well gotta run before the 12th is over

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Well hello y'all,

It's a little early for my second post but we have been having so much fun this week that I had to share............
We have been celebrating Dr Seuss all week both at home and at school.
Just a little history for you, Dr. Seuss's birthday is March 2 , go ahead and take a look around this website for a little more information Seussville and it is also kick off for Read across America Read Across America. What all this means is that at both Robert's School and Patrick's school they have been reading Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the hat, Horton hears a who etc and of course also doing activities related to reading , especially reading the books of Dr Seuss.

To make a long story short I have been going to both schools to read, but we had a super special day after taking Green Eggs to Robert's school for breakfast, I had been asked by Robert's teacher to "dress up", yeah you read correctly "dress up" as........can you guess?

Yep The Cat in the Hat ..........we read The cat in the hat comes back at Robert's school (the kids loved that and I got to read to another classroom as well) and then Robert's teacher was kind enough to let me borrow the costume and I made a "SURPRISE" visit to Patrick's school and of course read yet another Dr Seuss book.

In all and all it was a ton of fun and I will leave you with a few pictures of what we did , some hats I made the boys, some coloring/activity pages I printed out for them and of course the mandatory Silly boys picture with their new hats!

I leave you with a quote from this wonderful author:
If you never did, you should. These things are fun, and fun is good.

We're still Kicking................

So here we are stepping onto our 3rd month of the year 2008, were does time go.........a few days more and we will be celebrating Patrick's 4th Birthday (did I say 4th, he's not a baby anymore).

I apologize for taking so long between my last post and this (still trying to get it done twice a month, but I guess sometimes life gets in the way and time slips by)

But onto what I really came to post about, Robert has started his adventure into the Sports world, he had his first brush with Soccer today. He is a a 4 week Mini Soccer Camp ("Kickers"), he had a good time although his start was a bit slow, he loved it none the less. Next time we will have Patrick take some classes as well (we didn't know there was a group for under 5yrs old).

I took a few pictures (not too many since I didn't want to embarass him), below is a picture of Robert waiting for his turn and the next picture is the Gym where it took place (it was indoors).

After class we took a walk around the grounds, there was a small pond and a playground the boys enjoyed walking though the woods and watching the ducks.

After that we stayed and played in the playground (were they have a pretty cool fort, with slides and bridges etc), the boys especialy loved that. I took a few pictures nothing spectacular but they were having so much fun I just wanted to join in...........

We had a awsome day and afterwards we went to a restaurant we have been wanting to try Red Robin , check it out yourself (GIGANTIC BURGERS with tons of toppings).

Waiting for our burgers.............

And a awsome flag made from baseballs (this was my view from the table and I just had to take a picture of it) , you kinda have to look to the side of the picture, I was trying to take pictures without anyone noticing, haha................

Well that's all I have for tonight, the boys are now asleep (they were very tired) and tommorow is another day.

Thanks for hanging on with me and being patient as I figure this blogging thing out. You may see assorted things added to my page at some point.....................
